IU.me is a social collaboration cloud service for everyday use, including personal, professional and business. Today’s social networks, like Facebook and Google+, provide a great foundation for sharing information and staying in touch. However, they fall short helping people work together on common activities. Social collaboration solutions (like Jive), on the other hand, target more work groups and businesses. IU.me replicates the core features of social networks, then adds the ability to create light-weight objects (contexts) like a vacation or an auto restoration project where people can plan, share tasks, calendar events and notes, and use the object’s board to post pictures, location check-ins, links and other memories. These objects can be shared with others or kept private depending on their nature.
